What the study found

Sixty-eight weeks on semaglutide took off 14.9% of body weight

This is the trial the whole category was built on. In 1,961 adults with obesity and no diabetes, once-weekly 2.4mg semaglutide moved mean body weight down 14.9% against 2.4% on placebo, and 86.4% of them lost at least 5% of their weight, against 31.5% on placebo.

The caveat · Mostly women, mostly white

Novo Nordisk funded the trial and the drug is theirs. The cohort was largely female and largely white, so it says less about everyone else. Sixty-eight weeks is what was measured, and nothing here describes what happens after the last injection.
