There is no known dose, only four the trials happened to use
Trials have used 1 g once, 1.8 g daily for four weeks, about 2.9 g for 16 weeks, and 1.05 g of mycelium for 49 weeks. None was ever put against another.
What the study found
Four trials, four different doses, none compared against another
Human trials have used a single 1g dose of lion's mane fruiting body, 1.8g a day for four weeks, about 2.9g a day for sixteen weeks, and 1.05g a day of lion's mane mycelium for 49 weeks. They ran in different people on different tests, and no trial has put one dose against another.
The caveat · Two tissues, so grams don't compare
These are not four points on one scale. Fruiting-body powder and mycelium are different tissue carrying different compounds, so a gram of one is not a gram of the other, and the range above is what has been tried rather than what has been optimised.
